Designed for Texas law enforcement officers seeking their initial patrol rifle qualification or experienced operators aiming to refine their tactical skills, this course delivers real-world, dynamic training that goes far beyond standard qualification standards.

 

What You Will Master

• Weapon Handling & Mechanics: Rapid deployment, clearing stoppages, speed/tactical reloads, and administrative operation under pressure.

• Dynamic Marksmanship: Recoil management, rapid target acquisition, sight picture speed vs. precision, and positional shooting.

• Close-Quarters & Distance Engagement: Effective fire from point-blank contact distances out to 100+ yards.

• Use of Cover & Concealment: Shooting from high/low cover, non-traditional firing positions, and urban movement.

• Tactical Decision-Making: Threat identification, target discrimination, shot placement, and movement under load.

• TCOLE Qualification Standard: Course of fire required for state certification and department compliance.
  
   

Mandatory Gear List

• Patrol Rifle: AR-15 / Carbine platform equipped with a sling (2-point preferred) and at least 3 high-capacity magazines.

• Duty Gear: Duty belt or load-bearing equipment with magazine pouches.

• Ammunition: [Insert #, e.g., 500] rounds of factory duty/training rifle ammo (no steel core/armor-piercing).

• Protection: Ballistic eye protection and electronic ear protection.

• Personal Support: Appropriate range attire (weather-dependent), body armor/plate carrier, cleaning kit, water, and hydration.

• Active Texas Peace Officer, Reserve Officer, or Licensed Armed Security (or as approved by agency/host).
